This will be my first race so I have a few questions about the in's and out's.

1. I know that it is a timed race (roughly 45 minutes), so does that mean that we race against clock or opponents?
   

You race against the clock, there could be multiple lines going off in the same class.

1. How long is the course?
   

7 miles

1. At the start of the race are the do the riders start staggered or once the flag drops everyone goes at the same time?
   

        Could be multiple rows in the same class, green flag.
               2.   If it is a staggered start what are the interval?
about 10 seconds, depends on if the other rows get through the first turn with no problems.

1. I've lived in LE for a long time and know that it can get pretty dusty. Is there dust control? Do they wet the track before the race?
   

       We have water trucks running a week before the event and after each race!

1. How many riders per class (max)?
   

       We are trying to cap it at 75 riders per class.

1. How many riders on the course at one time?
   

       Depends on how many classes are on the line, we will determine that a few nights before the race by number of online entries, safety first!

1. Without a dead man switch what are the requirements of Novice and Intermediate?
   

       Safety gear, helmet, goggles, go on the www.podiumproducitons.com <http://www.podiumproducitons.com>  website and read the rules page maybe that will help!

1. Are there jumps and bypasses
   

       There is natural terrain that can be used as jumps, but no built in jumps.

How and when are the top 40 riders selected? And, are they selected from the Saturday events?

We take some of the top times from Saturday and Sunday to make up our top 20!

I just received my email confirmation.  Will I be receiving a RV camping sticker prior to arrival?

Your name will be on a gate list when you arrive!

I am signed up to race the unclassified race on Saturday morning. I have a few questions: I have never raced before.  Do I need to have my bike “tech’ed”? also how early should I arrive Saturday morning for my race?

I am not sure I could see on the web the exact day for the race or is there a race both days? THE RACE IS BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, WE RUN DIFFERENT CLASSES BOTH DAYS.

Will all classes race together? THE CLASSES IN THE ITINERARY THAT ARE GROUPED TOGETHER WILL RUN TOGETHER BUT THEY WILL NOT NECESSARILY LEAVE THE STARTING LINE AT THE SAME TIME, FASTER CLASSES WILL BE LINED UP FIRST.

What time does the race start? EACH RACE STARTS AT DIFFERENT TIMES, YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT THE ITINERARY PAGE TO FIND OUT WHEN YOUR CLASS STARTS, YOU MUST BE IN STAGING MINIMUM OF 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR MOTO.

How is the track marked? THERE WILL BE ORANGE MILE MARKERS ON EVERY HALF MILE AROUND THE TRACK.

Is there going to be a lot of sand? THE TRACK HAS MANY DIFFERENT TERRAIN CHANGES I'M SURE YOU WILL COME ACROSS SOME SAND.

Are there going to be jumps?  ALONG WITH THE TERRAIN THERE ARE BUILT IN JUMPS INCLUDING THE HISTORICAL WATER JUMP AND ROAD JUMP.

 

I just noticed that the rules ask for white backgrounds with black numbers. Can I run black backgrounds with white numbers and still be within the rules? YES, WE ARE NOW RUNNING TRANSPONDERS SO SCORING WILL BE A LOT EASIER.  YOUR NUMBERS MUST STILL BE VERY VISIBLE FOR OUR HAND SCORERS!

 

 

I heard that the races are dead bike starts and 45 minutes long. Is that correct? YES THAT IS CORRECT!

 

Does the UTVcross co-driver fill out all the same registration forms and waivers as the primary driver?YES, EACH PARTICIPANT HAS TO COME TO SIGN UPS TO SIGN THE LIABILITY WAIVERS. 

 

Are dogs allowed? YES MUST BE KEPT ON A LEASE AT ALL TIMES!

 

Camp fires in containers? NOOOOO CAMP FIRES!

 

 Is there any registration at the track, can we change a class if needed?  YES YOU CAN REGISTER AT THE TRACK ON FRIDAY FROM 12-9PM AND SAT/SUN FROM 6AM-6PM.

 

How can we find out which numbers we will be using for our races?  YOU CAN CHOOSE YOUR OWN RACE NUMBER YOU WILL NOT BE ASSIGNED A NUMBER!  JUST MAKE SURE THAT WHAT NUMBER YOU SIGNED UP WITH IS ON ALL 3 SIDES OF YOUR BIKE!

 

What's the earliest I can take my RV down to camp, Thursday? GATES WILL OPEN NOON ON THURSDAY

 

On the course map, can you tell me where the kids on the 65's will be racing? THE 65cc AND UNDER CLASSES WILL BE MAKING THE FIRST LOOP IN YELLOW, WHERE THE TWO YELLOW MARKS CONNECT, THEY WILL NOT BE CROSSING THE WATER.

 

Where do we pick up our stuff for the race and when? WHEN YOU ARE DONE PARKING THEN HEAD OVER TO THE REGISTRATION AREA AND WE WILL GIVE YOU YOUR TRANSPONDER ,YOU WILL SIGN ALL THE WAIVERS AND BE INSTRUCTED FROM THERE ON RACES AND TIMES!
